Dr Tony Capstick
Dr Capstick is a Lecturer in TESOL and Applied Linguistics at the University of Reading. He carries out research on language use and language education in resource-low environments and his focus is multilingualism and migration, particularly in refugee settings. He was Lead Educator of the Futurelearn MOOC Migrants and Refugees in Education: A toolkit for teachers having previously co-authored the report ‘Language for Resilience’ for the British Council. His new textbook for Routledge Language and Migration was published in 2020. It features a range of activities and case studies for advanced undergraduate and postgraduate students and draws on real-world examples from Tony’s time teaching and re-searching in the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia, and Europe with additional contributions from scholars in the Americas and New Zealand.
