Dr Gareth Evans-Jones is a Lecturer in Philosophy and Religion at Bangor University, North Wales, and Co-Director of the National Centre of Religious Education for Wales (NCREW). His doctoral research examined biblical exegesis and nineteenth-century slavery, foregrounding the intersections of scripture, ethics, and politics. This work was subsequently published as a Welsh-language monograph, ‘Mae’r Beibl o’n Tu’: ymatebion crefyddol y Cymry yn America i gaethwasiaeth and is currently being translated into English. His current research explores relational ethics, peacebuilding, and the legacies of Zionism, alongside broader interests in intergenerational trauma and cultural identity. He has published both academically and creatively on reconciliation, religion, and narrative in post-conflict contexts, and continues to contribute to the development of teaching, policy, and public understanding of religion, values, and ethics across Wales through his work with NCREW.
